An artichoke by any other name......
is, apparently, NOT an artichoke.
We got our veggie box delivered today (a local organic service). They let you make substitutions if there's something in the box you don't want. Early this week, I looked at the list of things that would be in the box and was happy with everything. Then i got the box today. "What's with all this GINGER??!!" i thought to myself.
Jerusalem artichoke. Hmmmm. Luckily, Doug is willing to try anything. Me? Not so much.

They're giving away Jerusalem artichokes in our box next week. Giving them away! They can't even sell the darn things:)
Ha! That is A LOT of ginger - the recipes I have call for maybe a teaspoon or 2 of fresh ginger at a time! Hope you get some artichokes next time!!:)
What the . . . I would feel gypped out of those artichokes!
I was in Jerusalem for a while and I don't remember eating those! Good luck finding a use for them. I think it's fun that you have an organic service though - TX isn't too into being green.
i always click on your "organic delivery" link, expecting something interesting on childbirth.... every time, i am surprised!!!
