We're a-movin' on u-u-up!

It's finally happened. The doors have opened. Business is booming. The Falcon Walmart had it's grand opening today. Can I have a big ole YEE HAW?!!!

This is coming from a reformed snob when it comes to Walmart. Who me? Shop at Walmart? Noooo. Target, thank you very much. Well, every now and then I would, but only early in the morning before all the creepies who are attracted to Walmart arrived to loiter...

Then, we moved to Colorado.

Somehow, Colorado is The Place when it comes to Walmarts. Super Walmarts everywhere. So, I started shopping there. Surprisingly, they have lots of organics, which is always appreciated.

So anyway, I live in a town that's a good 15-20 minutes from just about anything useful. We do have a Safeway, but please. I'd need to start selling my plasma to afford to do all of my regular shopping there. I've been waiting, anticipating the opening of our Walmart simply for the ability to drive somewhere in just 5 minutes.

The boys and I decided to join in on the celebration and stopped in. I was nearly GIDDY. Seriously. Is that pathetic or what? It did not disappoint. Clean, new, big. I can get in my van and go down the street, get all the groceries I want, flowers, CDs, toys, prescriptions, magazines, sports bras, a goldfish, ANYTHING and NOT have to get in my car and drive 20 minutes to get home. Bliss.

They built a Super Walmart near us when we lived in Ut - right before we moved! Bummer... But it was so nice and had the best bakery! Out here the Walmarts kind of scare me, so I admit I'm more of a Target girl now. Glad you have a nice Walmart so close! :)

Ditto on Target, Jenni and Ashlee, but I will shop at the Nampa, Idaho Super WalMart. No scary people and you don't feel as if you're about to be crushed to death by mounds of cheap junk. I would be so happy, too, to get a lovely Wal-Mart just a ten-minute roundtrip away.

I guess that could work. If there were no Target . . . anyway, some Walmarts really are ok to go into. I just can't stand many of them and avoid them when possible. I'm glad you've got a good one near you!

You know, it's hit or miss at Walmart. I love the prices, the service is usually not so good. I do like that they almost always have what I want though!!
